Joanna Darden said, “Make a difference in your corner.” Joanna Avin has indoctrinated this quote into every facet of her life. She is a trainer, life coach, motivational speaker, and business owner who inspires clients and audiences to lean into their discomfort to become the difference they want to see personally or professionally.

At the age of 16, Joanna Avin began her journey at Pizza Hut. She joined the leadership team as a General Store Manager by the age of 18. This would mark the beginning of a 20-year tenure in providing organizations with managing people, controlling costs, and determining training needs. After the food industry, Joanna transitioned into the corporate environment in the capacity of customer service, sales, quality, compliance, facilitation and training management. During this time, she began to work with numerous businesses that required content development, project management, and traveling domestically/internationally (Jamaica, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras, etc…). At Great HealthWorks, Joanna was certified in Emotional Intelligence and revamped the company’s curriculum to enhance the customer’s experience. She facilitated Train-the-Trainers to over 20 facilitators, facilitated classes in-house and virtually for over 2500 employees and the leadership team. Making a difference in her corner, Joanna decided it was time to put all her skills, talents, passion and energy to open her own business, HeartWork Precision in 2017.

Incorporating the core principles of Emotional Intelligence within the curriculum, HeartWork Precision has assisted organizations in leadership styles, teamwork, conflict management, diversity, customer service skills, sales skills, and effective communication, to name a few topics. Some of her clientele include: Urban League of Broward County, Boca Helping Hands, University of Fort Lauderdale, The Faith Center, FAU Upward Bound, PACE Highschool, etc.

Maya Angelo said, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”  This quote embodies the personal, professional, and life cycle that drives Joanna Avin.
